The Cupcake Girls® and Aylo Collaborate to Produce Safety-Focused Instructional Videos for Adult Performers

MONTREAL (April 22, 2024) – The Cupcake Girls® and Aylo are proud to announce their collaboration in producing a series of educational videos focused on safety standards tailored for adult Performers. Drawing on The Cupcake Girls' expertise in providing support, resources, and service referrals to people in the sex industry, and working towards harm reduction in the community, the video topics were selected based on Performer feedback to address the most urgent needs. These videos aim to equip Performers with essential knowledge on working in the industry, while prioritizing safety and well-being. From how to shoot your own porn in a fully informed way, focusing on testing, consent, and online safety, to deciding whether self-representation or working with a talent agency is the best career move, the videos will help explain necessary elements for a healthy adult performance career. These videos are currently in production and the first installments of the series will soon be publicly available with more to follow.

About the Partnership:

In September 2023, The Cupcake Girls, an organization that provides advocacy and referral services to consensual sex workers, and Aylo, a technology and media company, owner of a large portfolio of adult entertainment properties, announced a strategic partnership.

This partnership brings increased visibility to the trusted resources and support structures that The Cupcake Girls offers to adult industry workers. Most importantly, people experiencing abuses in the adult industry now have access to an experienced anti-trafficking organization that can assist them in getting the help they need. By sharing resources—ranging from collective collaborations to data insights— and by engaging with sex workers, the goal was to support consensual sex workers and foster an environment where their safety and success is prioritized.

The Cupcake Girls and Aylo are on a continued mission to combat and prevent human and sex trafficking, promote mental wellness, and further establish Performers’ online safety. This partnership, like all Aylo partnerships, is structured around creating tools and assets that will deliver valuable health and safety-focused information to the community.
