Understanding Tiers and its Benefits with a Side Serving of Tips!

As we enter our third month of Tiers, we want to highlight the benefits of the program, answer some questions we have received from our community, and share some tips to keep climbing the ranks! 

To recap, Tiers are based on the number of qualifying videos uploaded within a 3-month period and based on rank. The amount of time spent in a particular rank during a calendar quarter will determine which Tier you’ve earned for the next quarter. Higher status levels reward creators with a higher percentage payout of the revenue earned. Tiers is designed to help reward those who actively upload new videos to the platform.  

Monetization  

Models are paid for advertising revenue generated by the views of their videos. With this method in place, geographical views make a big difference.  

• Strategic tip: Check out our 2023 Year in Review Insights where you can discover search terms broken down by countries. This allows you to see what is trending in the countries where you want to increase your views. By knowing what is popular in those countries, you can plan content around those themes, cosplay characters, or even collaborate with other performers who are well known in those areas. 

To find your Tier, open your Model Dashboard and click on “Earnings.” Next, navigate to the Tiers Program tab. There you will find a breakdown of your views, letting you gain insights into where most of the recent month’s viewership comes from.  

• Strategic tip: Pay close attention to regions with high engagement rates. These areas may offer better revenue opportunities. 

With Tiers, geographical awareness empowers Models to optimize their content strategy and boost earnings. 

Community Feedback  

We have received some questions about Tiers we want to help clarify, so you can continue to succeed and keep earning! 

Disclaimer: Content Partners must upload videos of 15+ minutes for it to count as a qualifying upload, whereas Models are required to upload videos of 7+ minutes for it to count as a qualifying upload. 

Question: How is my ad revenue calculated? 

• Answer: Ad rates are dynamic and based off bidding demand from advertisers, which means the price changes minute by minute. You will be paid for revenue specifically and directly attributed to the views of your videos. 

Question: Do videos under 7 minutes earn money? 

• Answer: Yes, as long as your account is monetized! Models can still earn revenue from uploading shorter videos. That has not changed. However, for your upload to count toward potential Tiers advancement, it needs to be 7+ minutes.  

Question: How do I stay monetized?  

• Answer: Models need to upload one 7+ minute video every 6 months to stay monetized.  

Question: If I get demonetized, will I remain demonetized until the next quarter even if I upload a new video? 

• Answer: You do not have to wait until the next quarter. You can start earning again immediately by uploading one 7+ minute video! Please allow 24-48 hours after your video is approved for your Tier status to be updated on your account. Your earnings will start from the upload date of your latest qualifying video. 

Question: Do safe for work videos qualify as uploads in Tiers? 

• Answer: Absolutely! Safe for work videos qualify, as long as they are 7+ minutes. 

Question: Do you have to work your way up from the lowest Tier? 

• Answer: Models will be assigned a Tier based off their rank bracket. There are 2-3 Tiers that each rank bracket can achieve depending on how many qualifying videos you upload. For example, if you are a Model in the rank bracket of 1-50 for more than 46 days during the quarter, and you upload between 9 and 14 videos, you will be in the Platinum Tier. 

Question: What if I create a Model account in the middle of the quarter? 

• Answer: All Model accounts will be automatically entered into the Silver Tier. If you perform exceptionally well in your first few months, you can climb to the Gold, Platinum or Diamond Tiers. 

Question: What if I retire and want to earn residual income from my older content? 

• Answer: Earnings will organically reduce over time when new videos are not uploaded. We suggest uploading a video weekly to keep your viewers engaged and your earnings stable. If you no longer shoot with other Models, consider uploading solo or SFW content such as vlogs or try-on hauls. 

Question: Can I batch upload and schedule releases? 

• Answer: Yes, you can! If you intend to batch upload, please ensure you do so at least once per quarter. Scheduled videos can go out at any time, but the video will count towards your quarterly uploads based on when it was uploaded rather than scheduled. 

Question: I noticed that I earned $0.00 some days in April 2024 – is that because of Tiers?  

• Answer: No but thank you for bringing this to our attention! With the rollout of any new feature, there are often bugs that require urgent fixes. Prior to processing April’s payments, we resolved the issues, re-calculated the correct earnings, and made sure that those who qualified for a payout ($100 minimum) had no errors.
