Mark your calendars between December 16 and 19, 2024! Starting from 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST) each day, our partner organization, Pineapple Support, will be hosting their annual mental health summit titled, “Connected: Navigating the Ties That Shape Us.” Each presentation will last 60 minutes followed by a 60 minute panel discussion.
The holidays are a challenging time for many people who have tense relationships with their family members, themselves, or their romantic partners, and the summit aims to help Models navigate these difficult terrains at a time of high stress.
The event will focus on exploring the complexities of relationships for those working in the adult industry. They will emphasize the various types of challenges faced by content creators, including their romantic, familial, work-related, friendships, and self-relationships.
The summit will take place over 4 days and will include a deep dive into these different relationships, offering valuable insights from experienced therapists and industry professionals. Each day will feature a presentation followed by a panel discussion to foster engaging conversations.
Here’s the daily breakdown:
December 16: Romantic Relationships
Being Your Best Self in Romantic Relationships – Presented by Tess Kilwein; a board-certified clinical psychologist that specializes in treating trauma/PTSD, chemical and behavioral addictions, sexual concerns, masculinity, mental performance, and Transgender/gender expansive concerns.
December 17: Family Relationships
Family Ties: Navigating Relationships in the Adult Industry – Presented by Jasmine Johnson; a licensed clinical therapist with a strong emphasis on Intimacy Post Injury & Illness, Trauma, Drama and Kink and Sex Positive Parenting.
December 18: Work Relationships
Work Friends (with Benefits): How to Create and Maintain Professional Relationships with Colleagues – Presented by Nigel Cook, who works collaboratively with clients to develop sexual communication skills, process shame, and promote safer, more pleasurable experiences.
December 19: Relationship with Self
Curating a Life of Emergent Wellness – Presented by Doc - L.A. McCrae; a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, certified peer recovery specialist, recovery coach, and carceral epidemiologist. Joined by Tanisha A. McCrae; a mental health professional specializing in working with women, queer individuals, and couples navigating the waters of trauma and addiction.
The Summit will be hosted by Laura Desiree, who is an adult industry expert, certified intimacy coordinator, pleasure educator, and activist.
