Bisexual Awareness Week is a time to highlight performers who bring three of our core values to life: diversity, authenticity, and freedom of sexual expression. This year, we have two Models joining us – Josie Jaxxon and Reese Rideout (AKA Dr. Rideout). We linked up with them to discuss the larger cultural significance of Bisexual Awareness Week, ask how they cater to their audiences, talk about influential queer artists, and more.
When you became a content creator, did you begin filming with performers of the opposite sex or same sex first? Where did it crossover to include both genders?
Josie Jaxxon: Becoming a content creator came shortly after I started exploring my sexuality, so I’ve been filming with both men and women from the beginning! It’s really cool to look back at my old videos and watch the evolution of fully discovering just how into women I really am!
My husband is pansexual, and it’s been amazing to go on this sexual exploration together! One of my favorite things to film are bi threesomes with him and other men. Bi male-male-female (MMFs) are not as widely popular as female-female-male (FFMs), and I take a lot of pride in bringing that dynamic to a wider audience!
Reese Rideout: I began my journey in 2004, working with same-sex performers. Having never been with another guy before, I was curious and, at 21, always eager for new experiences. Early on, I faced rejection from the straight side of the industry, and to this day, I still find it challenging to land straight studio work. For instance, a studio will hire me for their gay, bi, and Trans projects, but not for their straight ones. However, with the rise of fan sites like OnlyFans and my own platforms, I have the freedom to produce whatever I please. Nothing can hold me back now.

Do you find yourself filming content for a particular audience? If so, are there any specific strategies you apply to storylines, filming techniques, metadata, and other content creation processes?
Josie Jaxxon: I film content for myself! I started making content only months after we dove into the lifestyle. The variety in my work reflects my own sexual exploration. I film straight content, bi content, hotwife hookups, roleplay scenarios, and anything else my horny little heart desires! When we made our first pegging threesome, we had no idea it would end up being featured and become my most viewed video. We always have an idea of what’s trending, but it’s never really had an impact on what we decide to create. I’ve found that my audience enjoys watching me have fun, and if I’m enjoying myself, they usually do too!
Reese Rideout: For me, the adult industry provides the freedom to produce, write, film, and act in mainstream projects — my ultimate goal for entering this field. While it may serve as a backdoor entry and has presented many obstacles that need lots of lube, it is my chosen path, or so I think it is chosen, cause when your momma gave you looks like these was I supposed to be a coal miner? No, I’m a hole miner. The queer content I create also allows me funds to be able to collaborate with cis females. Sure, I could make more money by exclusively filming with cis males, but I need to prioritize my mental health and maintain that balance.
When I film straight content, it’s all about the females if your audience members are straight. If it’s fans from my gay side that are bi, it helps to have a thumbnail of my ass in the shot as I’m penetrating the vagina. For my strictly gay content, any body part of mine works for thumbnails for promotion.

Queer artists and Performers have had an unparalleled influence on culture, music, the arts, and many aspects of our daily lives. Who are some queer artists who have influenced you and why?
Josie Jaxxon: I grew up with Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus on my radar for strong queer influences. They have both always been authentic and true to themselves and they’ve loudly and proudly stood behind the queer community! They absolutely inspire me to always be my true authentic self.
Reese Rideout: There are many examples, but one that stands out is Lil Nas X. He rose to fame quickly and came out with pride, all thanks to his dreams, dedication, and the power of social media platforms like Twitter and TikTok. To me, this represents a new American dream: being yourself, embracing who you are, putting yourself out there, and pursuing your passions. This is a time when more dreams are being realized than in any other century, perhaps even since the dawn of humanity.
Pornhub: Like so many others we’ve been enjoying a Brat summer. And when it’s not Charli XCX on the stereo, we’ve been listening to Chappell Roan on repeat around here. Pink Pony Club was our hit of the summer. We can all be queens every single day!
